The two accused are alleged to have beaten their dogs with sticks
Two men from Carlet and Alzira in Valencia face between five and seven months prison sentences on charges of animal abuse. The two are alleged to have beaten their dogs with sticks, causing the death of one of them.
Sources at the Valencia Animal and Plant Protection Society, SVAP, say they and the La Cua animal refuge were making the accusations in the case, and that the prosecutor is ever more prepared to punish such behaviour, following a decision to hear the case in penal court.
