Fresh lemonade

1 large thin skinned lemon (sliced into thick wedges)
1/2 cup sugar
3 cups water
6 ice cubes

In advance -  make a sugar syrup from  the sugar and 1/4 cup of the water by heating in microwave for about 2 min until dissolved. Allow to cool. If you like the lemonade, I suggest making larger batch to keep.


When you want lemonade -

In a blender put lemon, ice and remaining water with the cold syrup. Blend to mix and pour into tall glasses. Serve with a straw and lemon slice on rim of glass. Can be further diluted for the kids.
