The DVD side of the machine works fine, it's only the video. As it's a joint DVD/Video machine it doesn't seem to make any sense.

Mark.

Is the Video a UK pal one ?

The fact you are getting sound is good, but no video could be wrong format (ntsc american) ?

Also what method are you using to connect the payer to the TV ?

Maybe the tv is set to a certain type of input format.

has it ever worked ?

Yes it has always worked in the past. Its a Spanish machine (well bought here) as is the TV.

Have tried to set different things on the TV menu. Still nothing.

The Video's are all English...(Well bought in England) not the states.

All the connections are via scart leads.

Hi Mark - I would check all the scart leads are in nice and tight - I've seen this before, sound but no pic and it was a loose scart - but then again, you say the DVD in the same unit works ok - SCRATCH THAT - back to the drawing board............

I take it you can see the video setup menus on the TV.

If DVD's work & so do menus but the video side does not other than a silly setting I guess the video playback has died. :(

What is the make / model number of machine, I will see if I can find an online manual to have a look.

Hi Robin, this did happen before but someone, can't remember who did something and it worked fine...So I think it is a set up thing. I'm over in Santa Pola for a week now and the dvd/video is back at the GA place.

Mark.
