The Government cancels the excess use power surcharge.

The Ministry for Industry has announced it is to eliminate the controversial charge for excess use of electricity.
The Spanish Federation of Numerous Families is among those to welcome the decision, considering that the excess charge which was being levied on a per-property basis took no account on whether the property was occupied by a large family or a single person.
The charge had been introduced in July last year.
