VODAFONE ADSL & LANDLINE

Postby Freesat Tv Costa Blanca » Fri Sep 18, 2009 8:22 am

Vodafone are now offering fantastic ADSL packages so i am changing look:

up to 12mb, no line rental, keep same landline number, Free wireless router, free phone or phone hub, free local and national spanish calls, unlimited downloads.

39.95€ a month + iva (inc) and if you sign up before the end of September 25% discount until March next year.

I have had enough of BLOODY TELEFONICA so i am changing maybe you should consider it too ???????

Telefonica Line

Postby Freesat Tv Costa Blanca » Fri Sep 18, 2009 6:04 pm

They use the telefonica line in most places at the moment and you can have the maximum speed that that line allows eg:

If you can have 6MB with telefonica you can have it with them but the main benefit is they take over the line completely and do not charge for it and you do not pay telefonica either so are saving 13.97 + iva line rental for starters + upto 6MB is only 36.95€ inc + iva

They also have an English speaking technical department - This is a major + for me  :D

Hi

Must start by saying that I have never had any problem with Telefónica and, on the very rare occasions when things have gone wrong, they have been extremely fast and efficient in fixing them. My only complaint would be the high level of charges.

However, didn't the UK have similar telephone companies using BT lines? Maybe it still does. Weren't there problems about which company fixed what, and when? Certainly I tried such a non-BT company and gave up on it and when back to BT.

Am all for saving money but my worry would be if/when something goes wrong. The line belongs to Telefónica but you're not a Tf customer, Vodapfone is. Haven't you to definitely confirm that the fault is with the line before Tf will even consider it. Then who pays for the repair?

Smilarly, would such a non-Tf customer get the same "general" attention as someone who is, or ones who are? Certainly I, as a fully paid-up Tf customer, would expect to be have my problems dealt with before someone who is not. Wouldn't you?

In short, no matter what supplier you use, you're still at the mercy of Telefónica but with a different supplier you might not have the priority of a Tf customer.
Cheers

Ian

Not the same as the UK

Postby Freesat Tv Costa Blanca » Fri Sep 18, 2009 6:48 pm

Its not the same as the engineers in SPAIN are all independant and when you switch to Vodafone they take over the line and can call the engineers direct without contacting telefonica so no difference and the technical department for telefonica are SPANISH ONLY and via VODAFONE ENGLISH speaking so much easier..............

You are lucky you have had no problems or have not noticed any, i am now on my third major one and customer support is laughable & RUDE.

Hi

It does look like a good deal, but I'm trying to work out why you get a 3G dongle that seems to slot into the top of the router - are they passing some of the data over the mobile network... maybe the uplink via mobile and the downlnk via the copper? I'm paying about 63 euros a month for phone line & ADSL so would be keen to try something cheaper especially as we are only in the house for 1 week in every 8.

If you do order it woul dbe good to get some of your thoughts before the end of Sep promotion period is up

Do not hang around

Postby Freesat Tv Costa Blanca » Sat Sep 19, 2009 8:45 am

Do not forget that to get an additional 25% discount off the normal 36,97€ for the 6mb package until March 2010 you need to apply by the 30th of September so only have 11 days !!!!!

This deal is fab because it means you only pay: 32.00€ including iva for 6 months ........

Do not miss out, my advice would be go into a Vodafone shop at your earliest convienience and ASK for details for your area and get the ball rolling.........
