Hi
Must start by saying that I have never had any problem with Telefónica and, on the very rare occasions when things have gone wrong, they have been extremely fast and efficient in fixing them. My only complaint would be the high level of charges.
However, didn't the UK have similar telephone companies using BT lines? Maybe it still does. Weren't there problems about which company fixed what, and when? Certainly I tried such a non-BT company and gave up on it and when back to BT.
Am all for saving money but my worry would be if/when something goes wrong. The line belongs to Telefónica but you're not a Tf customer, Vodapfone is. Haven't you to definitely confirm that the fault is with the line before Tf will even consider it. Then who pays for the repair?
Smilarly, would such a non-Tf customer get the same "general" attention as someone who is, or ones who are? Certainly I, as a fully paid-up Tf customer, would expect to be have my problems dealt with before someone who is not. Wouldn't you?
In short, no matter what supplier you use, you're still at the mercy of Telefónica but with a different supplier you might not have the priority of a Tf customer.
Cheers
Ian
