Clear glaze

Postby Rich & Sue » Tue Oct 20, 2009 11:06 am

I want to re-seal my imprinted concreate patio. (picture attached of when it was new)

What is the correct spanish for asking for this material ? and any suggestions for sourcing the stuff would be appreciated.

To seal a surface with something is sellar - and the substance used to do it is, I think, selladora.

So you probably need to seek out/ask for selladora para hormigón

Try the Brico DIY place down beside Mercadona. When I was in there last week I saw lots of tins/cans etc of what looked to be paints and primers though I didn't look closely as it was not what I went in to get.

Very expensive in brico.

Try the pain shop in Al Eltet, they do floor sealers.

Not cheap but cheaper than brico.

The guy who resealed our imprinted concrete used a sealant called NOPAV.

Many thanks - I'll look for that NOPAV.

Can anyone show me on a google map where the paintshop is in Altet ?

Go into El Altet from N332

When you get to first set of traffic lights turn left.

Go a few hundred meters its on your right on a corner (sort of a square in front where they hold the weekly market).

I have been in there, very helpful.
