Hi

You may be interested in signing this new petition on the No10 website, calling for the govenment to halt the exhorbitant charges made by airlines just for paying for the tickets - please also pass it on, if enough noise is made, we'll all benefit from clearer charging

Sorry, don't count on me. I will pay what I have to.
I could ride a bike but prefer a nice car.

Tony, I don't think you understand. The petition is not asking for the airlines not to make charges, but not to hide them in such a spurious manner, just as they have to be with taxes & airport charges - that's not too much to ask of any company is it?

Not sure what choice of car you want to drive has anything to do with this either, but you are a bit of a troll so I guess we should all expect it :?

I can only assume that referring to someone as a 'troll' is not classed as having a 'pop' at them?
As long as it is known for future use.

I could ride a bike, but choose to use a nice car, despite the hidden charges of taxes when purchasing, insuring, fuel etc., but it is my choice so I have to pay for the convenience (nothing to do with the make or model of car, you obviously don't understand).
I need to take flights to foreign Countries and expect to pay for them, including the hidden charges and taxes. They are normally there in the small print if people choose to look.
I choose to pay them cor the convenience and requirement.
Credit Card carry huge penalties if people default on repayment and many people only complain when they have not met the terms they have signed to agree to.
You will know the final charge before you are expected to pay for the seat and supplements, so what is the problem. There is nothing making anyone proceed with the purchase.

Have a look at Monarch

payment charges only shown AFTER seat supplements and baggage supplements etc. on the payment page Excessive charges are made for DEBIT cards not just credit cards.

The main issue is being charged so much just for making a payment - no other business does this, and although you feel that your superior intellect allows you to see past the 'small print', many consumers are not so well endowed in the 'smarts' department.

And you are a troll - always waiting to pounce on people's posts and attack their point of view. I personally think that this prevents many people posting. I'm not going to say another word, but of course you will want the last word... so over to you (I wont reply 8-) )

So are you claiming that you only know what you have been charged for, after you have paid by whatever means?
Sorry, don't believe anyone would pay without first knowing how much they are paying.

If you say so and have evidence of that, fine.

Perhaps we should ban people who can't read from having CCs then?

If you say so, believe it, that's fine. No problem if it keeps you happy.

Yes, personal beliefs without facts and evidence as usual?
