Sad news re: GA Bodega

Postby Elaine » Thu Nov 05, 2009 2:30 pm

I've just spoken to Anne, who along with her hubby John runs the Winery/Bodega in GA. She tells me that sadly today is their last trading day. :(

It's a real shame. Not only is it a great bodega but they're lovely people too.

We wish them all the best for the future.

Sadly with what we've seen trade wise during the summer months, I suspect it will be the first of many businesses closing in GA this winter!

Best for the future Anna and John.

Regards,

Mark.

That's sad to hear, we didn't go into the winery but I hope whatever they do next works out well. I hope that things pick up quickly for everyone else.

That's a shame - the shop looked great, but didn't seem to have many customers, I'm not sure why. Business has seemed very tough, and I hope they got out without taking too much of a bath. Hope we don't get another Chineese 'tat' shop.... Spanish owned restaurant / tapas bar would be lovely
