So, about the train then.....

Just wondered, is it still running at the moment, and will it still be running in the last week of October? Just thought I'd ask...... not sure if any of you will be able to answer!

Hi Kat, it ran all through the winter last year so I see no reason why it wont bethis year.

At the moment its still carrying quite a few passengers despite a local bus company also operating the same route.........and also carrying quite a few passengers.

Regards all

John

PS Kat, if you click on the Gran Alacant Advertiser link on this forum you will find the timetable

That's great thanks John. I've already saved the October version of the Advertiser to my laptop so that we have it - it's very useful that is! Only a week and a half to go - really looking forward to it. :)

The train was still running last night. Had a few people on, not many as the summer but to be expected. Not sure if or when the new contract starts.

Well, at least it's looking as though it will definitely be running when we're there then - saves me having to walk up the hill - and saves hubby having to push the pushchair up cos I know I wouldn't be able to manage that lol! Thanks :)

LOL - I could! Mind, I think I'd break it if I did that - but I'm sure hubby would never notice..... ;) Paul, are you the owner of Dick Turpin? If so, does that mean you're the Albion fan we're coming to see?!
